Trip to Kulonprogro, 2013

From My Favorite

I never tired to roam the hills of Kulonprogo, the western part of the city of Yogyakarta. These hills are the remains of volcanic activity millions of years ago, in a rock geology of the Old Andesite Formation. The area north and west is the border between the provinces of Yogyakarta and Central Java.

This trip, I went down a row of hills in the north from the east to the west, passing Samigaluh village and then penetrate into Purworejo city. Paused awhile at the Samigaluh, to buy a drink and take a break. Visible peaks Suralaya famous as a tourist spot in this village.

I went on, through a forest of pine. I had enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful scenery during the trip, so I do not care to take a picture. The sky was overcast and the day began to feel dark, the sun had started leaning to the west and the weather was grey cloudy, I was confronted on a street corner that shows a waterfall Sriklotok.

Turn into this place. Footpath beside the river … really fun when we feel united with nature, hearing thru’ your ear of river streaming and nose inhaling the smell of the leaves, wet rocks. Just had to make some shots because it started to rain. My return trip to Yogyakarta while small raining through Purworedjo city.

Good bye beautiful Kulonprogo.
